Is there any pain associated with the Lumenis M22 treatments?

There is very little discomfort associated with the Lumenis M22 laser treatment. The system comes equipped with a special cooling feature that gets activated between each pulse. Therefore the patient will feel very little to no pain with this procedure. Additionally, the whole treatment only lasts about 15-30 minutes. At the most, the patient will only experience a mild sensation in a form of a sting in the treated area. This sensation will not last for very long and can be easily tolerated by most patients. A numbing cream can also be applied to the treated area to further minimize the patient’s discomfort.
